Yoga in Schools

Bliss Yoga provides a range of tailor made programmes for both staff and pupils of local schools. We also train teachers to bring yoga into the classroom. See our news section for dates for courses for Primary School and Secondary School teachers.

Do you want to take yoga into the classroom ? You don't need to be a school teacher to join us! Contact us for more information.

With Pupils
As Michelle Nicklin is a qualified secondary school teacher our work in schools has grown. We offer courses for both primary and secondary aged school children.

These are our most popular requests:

Yoga for post-16
Yoga for exam success
Stress relief during exam preparation
Yoga sessions for key stages 1 & 2
Yoga as part of the extended learning curriculum
Courses can last a few weeks or run for a whole academic year. Parents in particular are often very appreciative of schools providing such support for their children.
With Staff
Working alongside schools we provide INSET sessions that can:

Give staff the opportunity to relax and unwind within the workplace
Give staff tasters of activities and therapies that might enable them to maintain a healthy work-life balance
Improve staff morale, productivity, motivation and concentration
These often sit alongside traditional INSET days and staff sign up for treatments and yoga classes. Stress management workshops can complement the programme.

We also provide regular stress relief sessions where staff have treatments after school. These can be funded by staff or the school or a mixture of both. Call to find out how we can provide tailored and affordable stress relief that your staff will really appreciate.
